does bsc offer financial aid?

We do not currently accept financial aid, but we hope to in the future! We do offer a monthly payment plan for all courses. Visit our Programs page for more information on tuition and fees.

What product and color lines will i learn about?

At Bennett, you will learn by using a variety of professional product lines such as Redken, Joico, Wella, Sebastian, VERB, and more. All professional products are available for students to use on their clients in our student salon. Our primary color lines include but are not limited to Redken, Wella, and Joico.

will i be locked into a contract?

No. At Bennett School of Cosmetology, we believe no one should be locked into a certain institution or career field. We believe in simple contracts and tuition pricing where students always receive hours they have earned at our institution and are free to leave if our school isn’t a good fit for them.

What do I need to apply?

Students must be at least 16 years of age and have completed 10th grade or the equivalent to be eligible for enrollment. Cosmetology Educator applicants must have completed 12th grade to be eligible for enrollment in the Educator Program.

are certifications/specialty classes included in tuition?

Yes! We include three certifications and/or specialty classes in student tuition. Additional classes may be offered for a small fee. All certifications and specialty classes are optional for students to attend. Specific classes and/or certifications included in tuition may vary.

Can i transfer my hours from another school?

Yes! We accept clock hours from other institutions and adjust tuition accordingly based on the hours you have left to complete for Alabama licensure requirements (1500 hours). We also accept credit hours from high schools.

is there dress code?

As a fashion and image consulting industry, it is important to present professionalism. At BSC, we support students’ individuality and freedom of expression; therefore, our dress code is simple. No buns, boobs, belly, or underarms showing. Be neat and well groomed.

As educators, it has always been our priority to support students in their individuality. A dress code is no different. We do not wish to stifle the artist within by enforcing strict rules. Instead, we want to guide you into becoming the most professional version of yourself. At Bennett, we support you in becoming the professional you are ready to be.

Do bsc students offer services to the public?

Yes! All services at Bennett School of Cosmetology are performed by students with guidance from a qualified and licensed instructors.
